About 1000 children with special needs from schools across the Greater London area enjoy Rotary Kids-Out Day at Dagenham on a Wednesday in June each year. They are looked after by around 500 carers and teachers and Rotarians from across Greater London. The youngsters are entertained by Santus Circus who holds two special performances on the day. There is also Face Painting, a Road Train, a Disco, Charlie the Clown, Bouncy Castle, Teacup rides and more which the children very much enjoy.
This is the largest event of its kind in Great Britain which is aimed at providing a day of fun and laughter for children with special needs. All rides and slides have provisions for children with disabilities and special needs. The Mayor of Barking & Dagenham usually attends the event and meets with the Children. The annual Rotary Kids Out Day has been organized by the Barking Club, at the park for about 20 years.
The kids out is are only possible due to the generosity of a few Companies and organizations however we need more sponsors to ensure the event will continue.
